Actually this beachfront community which is famous for its warm, sandy beaches is more than one beach, the most popular being Surfrider Beach, Zuma Beach, and Leo Carillo Beach.
Malibu Beach has always been a popular spot for Hollywood movies and television shows, among the most famous ofcourse is Baywatch, featuring Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff.
When it comes to surfing, Surfrider Beach next to Malibu Pier is the place for serious surfers and is considered one of the worlds premiere surfing beaches.
When done surfing you will find that Malibu Pier is a great spot for saltwater fishing.
The City of Malibu is bounded by Pacific Palisades to the southeast, the Santa Monica Mountains to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the south, and Ventura County to the northwest and more or less cut in two by Pacific Coast Highway (Calif. Route 1).
